Ya know, finding yourself sends you on a long, probably winding journey. I don't have the answer of how to find yourself and I am in no way qualified to give advice.........but I mean, I think I might have an idea. Let's talk about Brand Identity!

Brand Identity

Brand identity is essentially all the elements used by yourself or your business to portray how you would like your followers or customers to perceive you and what you have to offer (Rukosuev, n.d.). It includes - but is not limited to - a brand name, tagline or slogan, colors, logo, even your voice. Whatever is used to identify you, is part of your brand identity.

Brand Identity is important for several reasons, such as:

  • Differentiation - It allows your brand to resonate with customers/followers and have it as the number one position in their minds because your brand is not the same as others.
  • Creating Loyal Customers - If the customers/followers identify your brand as effective, they'll always come back.
  • Personality - What feelings you would like customers to experience when they interact with your brand?

Some of the brands I think has mastered brand identity are:

  •  Fenty Beauty - Rihanna and her team KNOW what they are doing!
  •  Coca Cola - Without mentioning the Brand Identity King, this blog would be unsuccessful.
  •  Nike - That tick/ swoosh is burned in the back of my mind! It didn't always look that way,   though. Check out the History of the Nike Logo here.
I also like the idea that the different colours associated with your brand identity holds so much meaning.Check out this video about colours and brand identity.
